The current problem of the evolution of companies implies considering behavior in the face of change, and therefore the ability of managers to support change at the different levels of the organization.
The engineering students will prepare themselves:
- measure the complexity of the concept and the difficulty of managing change,
- understand the dimensions, components and players involved,
- test change management analysis tools that can be used as benchmarks in their future professional practice.
Three learning units shed light on the notion of change in companies from 3 complementary points of view:
- Keys to managing change (12 hrs): This course aims to understand change from the point of view of managers, and to learn about tools for supporting change
- Change as seen by those involved (12h): This involves analyzing a change and identifying the problems associated with a change from the point of view of the various people involved. One objective is to understand different change management methods.
- An example of a business model that encourages change: the permacompany (14h): learn about the permacompany model. Analysing and proposing business changes based on this model.
These different courses are based on student involvement in the various teaching activities offered (case studies, group work, etc.). Students must be prepared to question, to analyse and propose elements related to the management concepts discussed in class.
The "Change Management" Toolbox is a revelant complement for a future managers.
