  • General Description:

The aim of this major is to prepare the student for the profession of process engineer, specialised in the field of energy.

On completion of the course the student will have mastered the processes for the production and conversion of energy.

    Links between course units:

The content of the major deals with basic principles of process engineering and their application to energy production, with in depth study of thermodynamics used for process simulation and fluid mechanics in general and in particular for applications of energy production.

The knowledge acquired is also applicable to fields of process engineering in general.

    • Unit 1: Advanced thermodynamics for process simulation
    • Unit 2: Heat generation: fission and nuclear reactor
    • Unit 3: Heat and mass transfers
    • Unit 4: Electricity and turbines
