Course group - M-GFE
Financial information is essential to the process of company management and must imperatively be understood and taken into account by those in charge of profit centres.
This major aims to provide students with the bases of corporate finance: understanding of accounting documents, assessment of the financial situation and performance of an enterprise, forecast analysis, methods and sources of financing, etc.
The major is based on the management accounting course included in the 1st year common core curriculum course, Economic and Management Sciences.
The major initially aims to consolidate the technical bases of corporate finance: general accounting, cost accounting, financial management, business games.
It then proposes more in-depth studies through business evaluations and an introduction to the context of financial markets and the banking system.
This major is aimed at students wanting to move towards a career with strong financial content (auditing, financial consulting, company finance management, major project management …)
By its nature complementary to engineering skills, it is “compatible with all other majors and inter-disciplinary specialisations”.
