Valuation

Approach and methods used to determine a reference value for a business in the context of a transfer or acquisition (external operation) or an inter-group restructuring. Some definitions (business, business assets, securities, company value, equity values, etc.) Detailed presentation of evaluation methods Elements necessary for evaluation methods Choice of methods The actual valuation: implementation of the different methods with detailed explanations of each, illustrated by a real-life example + practical case studies based on one or more real cases. Teaching methods and means: Power Point course with concrete examples and exchanges; Practical applications: demonstrations on excel tables projected onto the screen.

Mergers & acquisitions

Objectives: To understand the processes and key indicators of a transaction so as to grasp the detailed aspects of a deal and the key factors in its success.

The course is an introduction to the world of mergers and acquisitions. Content Definition of a merger-acquisition process Characteristics of an economic P&L Characteristics of an economic balance sheet Determining the transaction price Teaching methods and means: Alternating theoretical background sessions with practical applications.

Project Finance

The course is divided into two main sections : 1-Project financing Presentation of project financing (Project Finance) Modelling (by the students) on Excel of the financing project for an electricity power station 2-M&A operations Strategic considerations and issues related to investments / divestments Calculations of valuations based on the Business case study of the electricity power plant.

Financial and Monetary Systems

Objectives : To acquire notions of the present financial and monetary system environment /span> To study in detail the role and influence of the ECB in economic and monetary policy To know how jurisdictions are shared between the different French and European regulatory authorities Content : Starting with the genesis of savings we will cover the mechanism of the current financial and monetary system, leading to the definition of the market actors and the regulatory framework. The role of the ECB will be highlighted along with the components of indexes and market rates. Teaching methods and means: course sessions and practical courses.
