General Description:

This UP aims to provide students with all the necessary knowledge to carry out an innovative project in the industrial health sector or hospital environment and implement solutions within health institutions. The lecturers are health professionals, consultants or industrialists allowing the combination of business expertise. The notions, principles and methods acquired through the thematic conferences will be put into practice in the innovation project carried out with the students of the Msc BMED and in partnership with the promotion of the specialized master HMDI (EM Lyon/MSE). Conference

The healthcare system in France and abroad. In an interactive way, this conference brings all the elements to understand the current organization of the health system and the care offer in France (what are the different authorities, the main public and private actors, what are the modes of financing, etc.) and opens on the future trends. The specificities of the French system will be discussed in relation to foreign (mainly American) organizational schemes. The presentation will also deal with project management in this sector: what decision-making process, what financial management, what health marketing strategy? This knowledge, which is necessary to clearly identify the financial and strategic impacts of each stakeholder, will provide learners with all the keys to managing a project in this sector.

Project

In teams of 5 to 6 students, you will have to propose an innovative solution (hardware or software) that responds to a current health issue and present its deployment on an industrial and/or hospital scale. Each group will work on a theme among a list of themes that will be presented to you (e.g. telemedicine, nutrition, crisis management...) and will be supported by a coach to carry out the project. The teams will be mixed (i.e. ICM, Master BMED, Master specialized HMDI) in order to approach the problem from different angles (industrial, medical, business) and encourage emulation. All the students in the group will contribute to defining the innovative solution, and then, depending on their background, they will feed each other according to their respective areas of expertise. It is a collaborative work whose aim is to convince, in the form of a pitch, an investor.
