General Description:

This unit deals with the progression from an idea, to a good idea, an innovation and finally an industrial success.

UNIT (S9) : Design of integrated product + service offers, Eco-responsibility in industry

The industrial application section aims to develop know-how in methods (and decision support tools) for managing innovation projects in enterprises, based on combined product/ service packages designed from use analysis.

Students will therefore develop their knowledge concerning :

  • Questions and management methods related to the application of industrial innovations based on user needs
  • Development of economic models for integrated product/service packages
  • Anticipation of internal industrial transformation, enterprises adopting product/service innovations
  • Environmental impact of product/service systems

Key words:

Integrated product/service offers Economy of functionality User oriented economy Models of innovation adaptation Invention/innovation Societal impact of innovation Industrial innovation

Industrial application of an integrated product/service system (PSS). The course will deal with a set of complementary aspects (15h)

  • Product-service systems
  • Economy of functionality, economic models of PSS, economic calibration
  • Application fields for PSS
  • Environmental impact assessment of PSS

Design approach based on use analysis

Sociology of innovation

  • Innovation through use
  • Innovation option models
Simulation Practical courses using an economic simulator (4h30 + individual work) The aim is to train students in the economic assessment approach of a PSS innovation and comparative analysis between several economic models Identification of economic calibration levers Configuration of economic supply offers Simulation of operating scenarii Identification of rules of management
Role play

Board games (6H + individual work travail) The aim of this application is to experiment with the operational implementation of an integrated product/service system by testing different application strategies and industrial partnerships
