The student will become familiar with computer-aided design (CAD) of mechanical systems and manufacturing via rapid prototyping technologies (3D printing). The evaluation will be carried out via a design / manufacturing project of a mechanical system according to specifications established at the beginning of the UP. The last session will be devoted to the presentation of the results and exhibition.
On completion of the unit, the student will be capable of: | Classification level | Priority |
---|---|---|
Mechanical design | 2. Understand | Essential |
Computer-aided mechanical design | 3. Apply | Essential |
3D-printing for mechanical design | 3. Apply | Essential |
