All students follow 1h45 of weekly English lessons and 40-minute tutoring every two weeks (in pairs).
The student can also choose from 7 modern languages 2 (in alphabetical order: German, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian). This choice is made after attending courses to present these languages during the first two courses. Once the choice is made, the student commits for both semesters (5 and 6).
Students with a level ≥ B1+ in their "classic LV2" will be able to change languages if they wish. These students will continue to work on their "classic LV2" through the "Objective B2"* system (1h30 class every 15 days). The language credits will be divided between LV2 (2 credits) and the "Objective B2" course (1 credit).
The language of instruction will be the target language of the course but it may also be, in part, French (in beginner or weak groups).
The student will have 1h45 of lessons per week and 20mn of tutoring (if individual) or 40mn (in pairs) every 15 days.
* Launch of "Objective B2" courses at the beginning of the 2019 academic year, for students wishing to maintain (or improve) the level of their "classic LV2" while starting a new LV2 at the EMSE. This course will be mandatory for students authorized to change LV2 at the beginning of the school year. At the end of the school year, pupils who have confirmed their B2 in their "classic LV2" may continue the LV2 started at the EMSE; those who, on the contrary, do not validate a B2 must return to their "classic LV2" in 2A.
