Course unit
Last updated: 22/02/2024
Edit This UP is dedicated to data production and modelling of transport and mobility flows, both for people and goods. First, the UP presents the main methods of data collection in decision support for the development of transport and mobility systems. It then presents the main types of models for understanding transport flows (4-step modelling, Origin-Destination Synthesis, Activity-based, Agent-based, etc.), and then develops in detail demand-based approaches, based on real examples and data sets, and as part of decision support in the deployment of urban transport and mobility system projects.
On completion of the unit, the student will be capable of: | Classification level | Priority |
---|---|---|
To know the categories of models to answer the main problems of transport and mobility system planning | 1. Knowledge | Essential |
Carry out a four-step modeling of transport and mobility flows based on a household displacement survey | 4. Analyse | Essential |
Carry out a cost-benefit analysis of a transport and mobility project | 2. Understand | Important |
