    The main goal in this competency is the learn how to design digital integrated circuits with up to date industrial CAD framework.


    Cohérence entre les unités pédagogiques du groupe pédagogique:

    It starts with the advances skill of hardware description language.

    Then, we discover how to synthesis digital circuit on different targets such as ASIC or FPGA.

    Considering this design methodologies, we focus on the hardware constraints linked to processor architecture.

    Finally, through the prototyping of a complex cryptographic algorithm we  will deals with to co-design approach and the programming of custom IP thanks to an embedded ARM processor.

    Parcours et cohérence avec les autres groupes pédagogiques:

    Design  Methodologies exploit all the skills learnt in Microelectronic Basics (CMOS technology models, Analog and digital basic circuits, electrical/digital based simulation) to develop, synthesis, place and route circuit with a high level of complexity.
