Optimisation Challenge

General Description:
This challenge concerns an optimization problem encountered in the context of production, transportation or logistics (subject updated every year). It is scheduled on a single time slot. Early in the morning, the subject is presented to the students. Then, every team of two students has to code a solution method, aiming at obtaining the best possible results on given datasets. The choice of the programming language is left open.

Discovery of the subject and development of a resolution method. Transmission of solutions obtained by the students as they arise. Posting of the best results by the organisers. Distribution of prizes at the end of the day. Food catering supplied on site (lunchtime, dinner, breaks).
