Course group - GP.PRO.S7
Students have the task of developing a robotic function while respecting software constraints (languages, tools, programmes, data …), material constraints (robot data base) and time constraints. They rely on a design methodology and are required to write a design report before starting the production.
All the teaching units of the course prepare students to understand and develop a robot.
The Automation and control course provides understanding of the operating and piloting functions of the robot’s all-terrain caterpillar tracks.
The Microcontroller 3 system (SAM3) course enables the understanding and programming of a 32 bit powered microcontroller of the STM32 family with ARM-Cortex architecture serving as the robot’s brain.
The MCSE presents a design methodology for built-in systems with robot design as the central theme.
The Robot course enables the concrete implementation of the functions described in the design report.
The course follows on logically from the S6 Robot Project course with advanced programming using high level abstraction libraries and a high powered microcontroller, the ARM-Cortex 32 bits.
