Course group - GP.TCE.S7
The course deals with the study of autonomous objects. These are fitted with transmission systems for data transfer, sensors to collect information from the surrounding environment and an autonomous power supply.
The two course units, Electro-magnetic Transmisisons and Wireless Transmission Systems, have a common set of courses to emphasise the complementarity within the general course. The two units, Sensors and Actuators and Energy Management form two essential blocks in the design of autonomous objects.
The Energy Sensor Transmissions course has direct links with the Prototyping course in Semester 8, in which a sensor is built and a signal acquisition connection established.
