Course group - GP.INT.S6
The “Solidarity Engineers in Action” projects correspond to citizens projects carried out by 1st year ISMIN students in the framework of their course. The aim is to initiate students in collective intelligence by managing projects through actions.
Hence the students work in teams and have to manage a project emanating from a partner’s request. The team has to identify and respond to the partner requirements and succeed in the concrete implementation of the project by going through the different steps of project management (drafting of guidelines, planning schedules, budget management, communication). While the success of the project remains an objective in itself, the learning efforts of the students and their assessment lies essentially in the way the project is run and the group work.
Real commitment is expected from the students in the running of their projects which is why they can choose their project. Themes can deal with science, social issues, humanitarian actions or culture. The proposed projects are aimed at encouraging an openness to others, promoting interaction with various actors and discovering notions of interculturality, along with social, civic or solidarity dimensions.
The Collective Intelligence course consists of one unit: “Solidarity Engineers in Action” (51 hours).
