Course Director(s):

  • MARQUES Acacio
  • General Description:

    The Industrial Project is a situation simulation of a form of “micro design and technical department” allowing a group of students to respond to a demand from an industrial client for a proof of concept or prototype. The Industrial project forms the main theme of students’ skills acquisition during the academic year, serving as an application support for all the non-technical courses (project management, industrial law, communication …) but also as an implementation of all the acquired technical and scientific skills.

    Links between course units:

    The course units follow the “natural” cycle of a technical project in a design and technical department: design, implementation, reception, communication.

    • Kick off technique: A presentation of the design study results by means of a report and oral presentation
    • Technical monitoring: at mid-term students are required to present their results to their colleagues. It is a technical review allowing the group to confirm its solution by means of external scrutiny.
    • Project reception: assessment by the industrial client  of the final results obtained by the industrial project group: superior or inferior to the initial specifications
    • Final presentation: presentation with demonstration of results obtained with if possible an operational prototype

    Orientations / Associations with other courses:

    This industrial project course is of course the logical continuation of the pre-project course in Semester 7. In addition it seeks to serve as an application site for all the technical and managerial courses followed in previous semesters.  In this respect it represents the central theme of the second year of studies
