General Description:
This course is a continuation of the Robot project from semester 5. Having produced the electronic control card for the robot students will apply the piloting software.
Links between course units:
The course group is split into two units:
- Interface design, enabling the discovery of microcontroller architecture making up the robot’s brain (Microchip PIC18 ) and learning to write driver peripheral devices useful for the robot.
- System design, which enables concrete execution of requested robotic functions through different contracts for each pair of students.
Orientations / Associations with other courses:
This course group has strong links with two other courses:
- Computer Science Concepts and Tools course , SAM1, which is their first discovery of 8 bit microcontroller architecture
- Robot Project S5, in which they discover the hardware environment of robots and are initiated in the electronic development of a robot control mastercard.
