Course group - GP.MAN.S7
This course aims to provide a general overview of two essential fields of management for the engineer: market surveys, relating to products and competitors, and production and supply chain management.
Coherence is assured by the temporality of these fields in the life of an enterprise.
The course seeks initially to identify the market and its customers, beginning with their needs. This is the subject of the teaching unit; Company vision and strategy.
Once the business strategy of the company has been defined there follows issues related to the flows of design, production and the supply chain impacting the company.
The second year in management studies focuses on awareness of economic/business dimensions and the organisation of design and production flows for goods and services.
Project management methods are analysed in another second year course.
Methods for the engineer are taught each year according to the following schedule:
1A: analysis and initial diagnosis of the company + professional report writing
2A: market analysis methods, optimisation of flows (design/production/transport) and project management methods
3A: Organisational diagnosis methods (professional relations, negotiation, analysis of player networks).
